In April 2007, we at Tata Projects Ltd, Hyderabad, India, signed an agreement with ‘The Welding Institute (TWI)’, UK to conduct globally recognised and widely accepted Training and Certification courses as per the CSWIP and BGAS / CSWIP schemes in the domains of Welding, Painting, etc. .
The courses commenced in May 2007 and more than 30 batches of professionals have been trained and certified through our courses continuously up to 2008, taught by experienced and acclaimed trainers from TWI, UK. All the examinations are conducted at the end of each course as per the rules of CSWIP / BGAS.
  
Suitability & Eligibility for Certification Courses:

A. CSWIP - 3.1/3.2 Welding/ Sr.Welding Inspector & AWS-CSWIP 3.1 Bridging courses.
A. CSWIP - 3.1/3.2 Soldagem / Sr.Welding Inspector & AWS-CSWIP 3,1 Pontes.
     These courses are suitable for professionals in the welding industry wanting to upgrade their skill sets to 
     meet international industry standards and get a globally accepted certification.

    
CSWIP - 3.1 Welding Inspector
CSWIP - 3.1 Inspetor de Soldagem






Individuals having a minimum of 3 years experience in the field of welding / welding inspection are eligible to apply for the CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector course and exam. Duration of the course is 5 days of tutorial followed by 1 day of exams. Details are as given in 1.2.2& 1.3.2 of CSWIP document CSWIP-WI-6-92

A    WS to CSWIP 3.1 Bridging course consists of one day tutorial on the last day / following day of the main course followed 
      by 1 day of examinations and is conducted on all CSWIP 3.1 main courses. Candidate having 3 years of experiences 
      and  holding valid AWS-CWI certificate are eligible for this course.
CSWIP 3.2 Sr.Welding Inspector : Candidates holding valid CSWIP 3.1 certificates and 2 years of post 3.1 certification 
  experience, or 5 Years of authenticated & independently verified experience in welding at supervisory level, are eligible to 
    appear for CSWIP 3.2 Sr.Welding Inspector course and exam. Duration of the course is 5 days of tutorial followed by 1 day of exams.
The details are as given in clause 1.2.3 & 1.3.3 of CSWIP document Certification Requirements CSWIP-WI-6-92, 2008 edition.
Retests for all the above courses are also conducted at the end of each main course.
B. BGAS - CSWIP Painting Inspector Grades 3 / 2 /1 :
This course is suitable for candidates who may or may not have any experience in the painting industry.
Most candidates completing this course are expected to take the ‘BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 3 Examination’. However, those candidates having prior experience in the areas of paint inspection / testing may take the ‘Painting Inspector Grade 2 Examination’. Grade 3&2 are usually taken together. The course is common for Gr.3&2. Candidates must pass Grade 3 to write Grade 2 and must have Grade 2 to write Grade 1.
The duration of the course is of 5 days duration followed by 1 day of exams.
Upgradation from Grade 3 to 2 and retests are also conducted during all the main Painting / Sr. Painting Inspector courses.
BGAS Examination Requirements are given in the attachment.
Application and Enrollment process:
Interested candidates may enroll themselves for the above courses as per the dates and locations specified in the attached calendar
For CSWIP 3.1, 3.1 Bridging & CSWIP 3.2: 


      Interested candidates may first send their CVs in the attached TWI CV format only for approval
    Fill up the attached TWI Enrollment form after obtaining the CV approval and courier them to the Contact  ess                    given below along with the following documents.
Documents to be attached for CSWIP Welding Inspector Courses:
1.     TWI Enrolment form duly filled & attested by employer
2.     DD/Wire Transfer details
3.     Copy of Qualification Certificates
4.     Vision Certificate as per attached format
5.     Two Passport size photographs with the candidate’s name and signature affixed at the back
6.     Approved CV in TWI CV format along with approval mail copy
7.     Copy of Experience Certificates of previous employment
8.     Copy of Welding & NDT related certificate
9.     Copy of AWS - CWI certificate (only for AWS - CSWIP 3.1 Bridging Exam)
10.   Copy of previous notice of result (only for retest)
11.   Copy CSWIP 3.1 certificate (only for CSWIP 3.2)
Documents to be attached for BGAS - CSWIP Painting Inspector Courses:
1.     TWI Enrolment form duly filled
2.     DD/Wire Transfer details
3.     Copy of Qualification Certificates
4.     Vision Certificate
5.     Two Passport size photographs with the candidate’s name printed at the back
6.     Copy of previous certificate / notice of results (only for upgradation / retest)
C.V approval and attestation of Enrolment form by employer is not required for B-GAS painting inspector course.. 


The applications are enrolled on first come first served basis, and hence it is advised to enroll as early as possible.
